Childrens Community Respiratory Physiotherapy (including Rapid Response)

The Childrens Community Respiratory Physiotherapy Team work with children with complex neuro-disabilities and severe respiratory difficulties. The team provide specialist, rapid assessment and treatment in the community. The children on the caseload have life limiting conditions and are at risk of life-threatening chest infections, these Children rarely survive into adulthood.
The Team are nominated for the award as they improve quality of life, reduce hospital admissions, emergency department attendances, reduce length of stay in hospital and are hugely cost effective for the NHS.
