South West Critical Care Transfer Service

South West Critical Care Transfer Service

South West

Early in the pandemic, as the South West Critical Care Network Lead for Transfer, Dr Grier worked in partnership with South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and other organisations to establish a transfer service to ensure critically ill patients could be moved safely between hospitals. Since then, he has developed and launched Retrieve, the new Adult Critical Care Transfer Service for South West England – one of the first in the country and a crucial part of the region’s pandemic response.

Nominated by: Jack Lopresti MP
